A sketchy lil' doodle

Starting last month two friends ( the wonderful and talented Ashley Ribblett, and Janie Walland ) and I took over the reins of the Cleveland branch of Dr. Sketchy's Anti-Art School!

We had our second event this past Tuesday, and it was fantastic!
Above is the poster that I made for the event.

Heck, I even had a little time to doodle a bit.

If you're in the area (Northeast Ohio) and you want to check out what the fuss is all about (you should), you can find Dr. Sketchy Cleveland on facebook, and learn all about the next one there (8pm, March 18th @ the Beachland Ballroom).

Storyboards by Ben

I had the exciting opportunity to create storyboards for a product pitch by an upstart athletic representative and truly enjoyed the experience.  While I can't display any names, I've taken a few panels from the project to post here on the blog.  I'm really hoping to do more of this kind of work in the future.

You can check out more of my projects over at my personal blog: www.NeedYourDisease.com

Tim's Winter Warmer

So, it's been awhile (again)....

anyway, it's freezing cold here (everywhere apparently), so I wanted to paint something to warm things up a bit!

She did her job, warming heart cockles so well, that I decided to use her on my flyer for the Cleveland branch of Dr. Sketchy's Anti-Art School!

Happy Birthday, Craig!

I know I've been MIA as of late, but it definitely hasn't been from lack of drawing.  If anything, I've been drawing too much.  But just so happens I can't show much of it...so get off my back! ;-)

Anyways, I wanted to make sure that I came out of my cave of art and merriment to wish a very special Happy Birthday to Mr. Craig Worrell.  In the short time I've known you, you've been a dear friend, an ear-worm adversary, a monster, and mentor.  I hope you have a great day.

I drew Craig as a Ghostbuster because busting makes him feel good.

Snow Sassy

Your pal and mine, Randy Crider created this lil' fella for the Brite Winter Fest. He's such a great character that I had to throw down a sketch into the old moleskin!

By the way, we will be painting at Brite Winter again this year but this time inside and not covered with snow!!! Come out an join us for some winter time frolics!  Info here.
